I don’t consider myself to be an artist, although I do create projects with a variety of media. Mostly, I’m creative.
Through Roosterwax, I share my adventures in living a creative life in the Netherlands.
I’m often asked, how did I chose to move to the Netherlands? Long story.
I lived in Tokyo for several months during an internship for my master’s program. I loved living in Tokyo and realized I did not want to resume living in the U.S.
It was a good plan, and the Covid pandemic gave me lots of time to prepare for my exit.
I knew there were better long-term solutions for a white woman than Tokyo, so I researched other countries.
For a while, Copenhagen looked promising, but the more I learned about living in Amsterdam, the more I swayed. Ultimately, it came down to which language I wanted to learn, and I chose Dutch over Danish.
I know it’s a silly tie-breaker, but here I am in the Netherlands. 🙂
